Wife, Daughter and I have all managed to avoid it so far. That includes my wife being a teacher, and me going to uni etc. I Mask up on PT but otherwise don’t tend to (except where required). I will mask up where necessary, or required (local theatre venue was still requiring masks for a while), hospitals. Supported the lockdown initially and the mask mandates as I worked through the lockdowns. I still haven’t got it to my knowledge. Now I really couldn’t give a shit, I’m actually sick of it at this point as it’s a scapegoat for any and all dumb problems … Eggs expensive? COVID! Ice cream machine not working at Macca’s? COVID! the other day I went to a cafe in Kerikeri and was scolded after attempting to get my own cake because of COVID … All the while the workers don’t wear masks and were located in NORTHLAND the ignorant shit hole who didn’t give a fuck when it really mattered ?‍♀️

I’ve essentially put it in the New York Knicks legends signatures shirt also I will do this same category of risk as the flu. Would be zero fun to catch it, so I do things like get vaccinated when they’re available (got jabbed for that and the flu on Monday) and follow the rules. Essentially I only where a mask where I have to (pharmacies etc) but that may change in the winter, mainly because they’re a bit like face-blankets and keeps me warm in the worst of the Wellington winds. So things are back to as normal for me. I’ve been overseas, traveled a bit within NZ, going to shows and concerts etc. I don’t go out if I’m sick, but never did so that’s my normal. Edited to add that I do test when I’m feeling poorly, or if I’m going to a large event. And obviously before spending time around immunocompromised folk. Boredom mostly. We had some viral thing a few months ago, flu? Covid? Just a cold? No idea, we didn’t test. Stayed in, rested, all the usual. Nasty for a week ish, aches too (so maybe flu) but who knows. WHo cares? We were fully vaccinated and 2 of us (of 3) had flu shots too.
