Take a deep breath and just know this gives you time to prepare, not everyone gets that. Accept the New York Giants fall helmet pumpkin shirt Besides,I will do this job is gone in 30-60 days and use linked in and all of your contacts to find a new job before then. If you cant make that deadline do not say you were fired in interviews. Just say the job wasnt a good fit and you needed to move on. No need for further explanation. In my experience, almost nobody passes a PIP. It’s just a formality so they can say they tried to avoid termination of employment. Resign and you risk unemployment if you are in USA. I’d just do my best and see what happens. Losing a job isn’t a total catastrophe your manager probably won’t write a bad reference anyway. I once worked with a guy that was earmarked to be “managed out of the business” which is similar to this, but they promote you to a job they think you will fail at. He was senior to me and had been with the company for a while. The problem was, whatever new impossible task they gave him, he passed with flying colours.

One such job was taking their in house print magazine and porting it to an iPad publication (the New York Giants fall helmet pumpkin shirt Besides,I will do this first iPad had only just been released and there were no working practices or any experienced staff) but he managed to get it done. Not only that, but it was one of the better early attempts at an iPad magazine. I’m sure the higher ups were furious. I think eventually they created a project so completely hair-brained they got what they wanted, but it took them years. My point here is not to tell you to work hard at your PIP (I think you should leave asap) but that sometimes nefarious decisions are made about employees and they can be quite unfair. It’s actually quite soul destroying to be made to work in a place where you’re swimming against the tide even if you keep going for a while. A job work environment should want you to succeed. I went through your exact situation almost, was told I was meeting expectations in January, put on a PIP in March, had to go on sick leave via FMLA for health issues in April for two weeks, fired in May. I was not getting paid for OT and was expected to work OT as an unspoken rule, but I refused. I was not getting paid nearly enough, even after an $11,000 raise that put me at $66,000 anually. In a specialized role such as mine, I was doing way too much for others, basically doing their jobs, and they got paid cash OT off of my work. Fuck that. My boss had an 80% turnover rate of her best people quitting over one year, leaving me with mostly scrubs hired with no experience. She would say, if you’re not going to do this, we can always hire someone off the street to do it for less. Yep, you do that, and tank the business all you want. They’re being sued all over the place, too.
