I wish they wouldn’t say things like that because there’s been some absolutely fierce people it’s been applied to that don’t deserve to be called ‘redundant’. I agree. I wrote a long diatribe about this in another post, but so many of these allegedly “lacking in personality/charisma/X factor” queens actually have it in spades, but production often does a poor job of showing it. I took that comment as being directed at other queens who came on the New Dad Promoted To Papa Rst.2024 American Flag T-Shirt But I will love this show and people knew who they were (they were a bit famous in drag), such as Mayhem Miller, Tamisha Iman, and Vivacious. Queens who were really experienced, had won a lot of pageants or who had a lot of drag daughters and then just failed to be surprising/diverse of talent in the competition. Why do people keep saying Lady Camden? I think Michelle meant like, the pageant or regional queens with big names or reputions ala Asia Ohara and Brooke Lynn Hytes. Lady Camden was a fresh name and as a viewer I didn’t ever impose expectations from outside onto her. I don’t think Michelle is talking about pageant queens. I think what she’s referring to is more the theatre kids, the “weaponising a BFA” queens, who are very good technically and are all rounders, but Ru doesn’t think they have a passion for drag as much as they perform and drag is an outlet for that. The top examples people use are usually Rose, Jan and Ella verday. Using that definition lady Camden probably falls into it because of her ballet background
