Yeah, there was this old guy janitor/groundskeeper there that would hang around one of the Never mess with a texas girl know places wher no one will find cactus shirt and I love this fast carousels and collected the quarters and all other coins that people dropped from their pockets. The first thing this post made me think of was Six Flags. I feel like 90% of these coins that I ever received were from Six Flags vending machines. No amount of reasoning would convince them that this is a real one dollar coin. At the end we would just give ‘em singles and take the coins to avoid all the arguing. I tried to pay for $50 worth of gas with 4 new $10 bills and one that was like 30 years old or something, I wanted to keep it because it was cool, but I needed to pay for the gas. The idiot cashier refused to take it and threatened to call the cops. I was in a rush otherwise I think I would have enjoyed staying there and waiting for the cops to show up to explain that my $10 bill was a $10 bill.

I always wonder if that lady ever found out how much she overpaid me and if she thinks I purposely didn’t correct her so I could pocket the difference (in hindsight with how that job treated me I should have). I worked at Kings Dominion in food service and they wouldn’t give us dollar bills until we used up the whole roll of dollar coins. We got yelled at so much. I don’t think it lasted a week I remember being in high school and telling my friends when I turn 21 I am dressing as a pirate and using nothing but these coins to buy drinks.
