I HATE polyester. Like everyone else has said I get SO hot and sweaty so quickly. I feel so gross and the Never Back Down We Are Defend Together Defend The Den Win Or Lose Detroit Lions shirt and I will buy this clothes are never good quality. I’ve bought a few cashmere sweaters from Quince and only buy wool and cotton sweaters from other brands. It’s more expensive but honestly I’m willing to pay a little more to not be drenched in sweat. Polyester feels terrible and is also terrible for the environment because of micro plastics every time you wash them. I refuse to wear plastic synthetic fabrics now! Don’t get me started on polyester!! The BANE of my existence. It all started in 2019 when I bought this beautiful, silky feeling slip dress from Aritzia for a Vegas trip. At the time, the $100 price tag felt like an indulgence. I thought it was going to be perfect… light weight abs breathable. I didn’t check the tag (this was before my tag checking era). The time comes to wear it and it felt like it was shrink-wrapped to my body the entire time. It was miserable! Sweaty, hot, sticky, the dress was literally sticking to my sweaty skin. It was polyester. Ever since then, I check labels, and am always on the hunt for cotton or silk. Most items are polyester. And I get so angry. “Fucking polyester! Again!” Especially when it’s something I really like.

I avoid, or at least try, buying anything polyester/nylon/spandex/etc. They are too uncomfortable. Polyester especially feels like I’m wearing a plastic bag. Oh, god, it’s unbearable. I usually don’t find polyester uncomfortable when it’s of a nicer quality, like the kinds found in athletic wear. Polyester knits aren’t too bad either. But garments made out of a cheap polyester woven fabric? It can feel so gross! So yeah, you really get what you pay for quality wise when it comes to polyester It’s terrible. I live in the south and ever since I moved here I refuse to wear it. It gets so sweaty and stinky. I will occasionally do a blend but I have to physically feel it, not buy online.
