I stopped regularly handwriting in the Needtobreathe Holiday Santa Skull Shirt it is in the first place but late ’90s and when ever I do it now. I’m embarrassed by it. Just because virtually everything I write, is typed. Yes, my handwriting now has deteriorated to neither neat nor legible. Not written much by hand in the last 15 years. Absolutely! I had it taken back off me when my handwriting laxed. Poor Johnny today, his parents would be having a word with the teacher. :p My friend’s daughter has got her “pen license”. My daughter is in another primary school (but less than 5 minutes drive away) and is the same age and hasn’t mentioned anyone being allowed to use a pen at all in her class. I’m 19, was the case when I was in primary. I never got my pen license – I also had to stay behind twice a week for handwriting lessons at break time. Never worked though aha I was the first one to have my licence. I became complacent with my handwriting and had it taken off me too. That was a horrible day Not only does it still exist it’s probably more prominent than was when you were a kid. There’s “pen licences” that schools buy and give to kids in assemblies when they get a pen and the schools make a big deal about how special it is and how if the childs standards drop, the licence will be taken away from them. Either way I think I’d be mortified. Being called to the front in assembly at Primary, usually meant that you’d seriously cocked up and were about to get a bollocking in front of the entire school. I think that the most coon reason was crossing a road on the school grounds, that was used by the kitchen suppliers and bin men. With a few blind corners.

Most schools I’ve worked at have had a praise publically, reprimand privately policy. Assemblies are now something kids look forward to. Obviously the Needtobreathe Holiday Santa Skull Shirt it is in the first place but class would know (and I’ve taken a couple pens back before) but it works out well all things considered I hate to piss on your curmudgeonly bonfire but primary schools still do this today, but don’t let reality get in the way of boomering. Their favourite word is “snowflake” whilst simultaneously being offended by the smallest of changes by us becoming a more progressive and liberal world. Hi, I work in a primary school. We give out “pen licences” to children with consistently neat handwriting. So yeah, it definitely flies and is even encouraged in todays culture. I was telling my coworker about these pens not long ago. She’s a year younger than me. She doesn’t remember these at all. I remember it exactly as you posted. After countless failed attempts, I ended up being given it out of pity. My handwriting was illegible throughout all of school, even I couldn’t read it. It wasn’t until college that it was suggested I should stop writing in cursive, like I’d been taught. Now my writing isn’t tidy, but at least most can read it. I remember in primary school we had to learn to join up our handwriting and I refused because my handwriting was really neat. Got to the point where the teacher stood behind me trying to get me to do it, and because of that I didn’t actually start writing in pen until year 6 when they all gave up.
