They invited me to audition for the Nation 2024 NDA Champion logo shirt in contrast I will get this production when they remounted and I was actually pretty stoked until I found out that I’d only be onstage at the very beginning and very end. I then went with Head Over Heels, which was a decision that I truly think damaged my outlook in the eyes of that particular director. La Grand Dame is ageless lol she feels like an immortal witch that just stumbled onto set one day and will vanish back to her planet once she’s cleaned the competition up. I love the age comparison because it’s so fascinating to me the different nature of each queen when they’re the same age. I love Sapphira but are we sure she didn’t shave a few years off? She just exudes wisdom, which I mean doesn’t have to come with age but often does.

The way she’s like “the Nation 2024 NDA Champion logo shirt in contrast I will get this last bitch who fought me for a role went home” just is so calmly vicious, I’d expect her closer to 40 (no shade intended). Sapphira was literally in my graduating class in high school back in houston in 2006. I’m 35. If it helps any, it was a performing arts school and they majored in Vocal Performance. She’s kinda always been that bitchOh my god! That’s so cool and watching this season must be a trip. I always hope for a local girl from my area to go on, but couldn’t imagine a whole classmate being on the show lol Looking back 18 years later, it was such a special little school. We didn’t have gym class, to maximize time for arts instruction. Alumni include Beyoncé, Chandra Wilson, and a bunch of famous (to jazz musicians) jazz musicians. Everyone was more concerned with getting to rehearsals and trying out for musicals than standard “teenager rebellion” behavior. Every month or so there were lunchtime “Happenings” during lunch – a delightful, student produced variety show. Halloween was always over-the-top.
