The closest they came was in October 1944 as the Nashville Predators Authentic Pro Primary Replen Shirt and I will buy this US was invading the Philippines. Yamato and Musashi, along with three other battleships and a horde of smaller ships set out to attack the American invasion fleet in Leyte Gulf. Commanded by Takeo Kurita, they were up against the most powerful navy ever assembled- parts of the US 3rd Fleet, a top of the line force containing new aircraft carriers and battleships, commanded by William Halsey; and the 7th Fleet, a force of old battleships, many of which had been repaired after being sunk at Pearl Harbor; merchant ships that had been converted into small aircraft carriers; hordes of light warships; and Australian warships. The Japanese plan was to lure the 3rd fleet away from the landings with the aircraft carriers they had left, which had lost most of their aircraft in an earlier battle. Then Kurita’s force would enter Leyte Gulf from the East, and a smaller battleship force would join them from the South to attack the slower 7th Fleet and the troop transports they were protecting.

Things started to go wrong for the Nashville Predators Authentic Pro Primary Replen Shirt and I will buy this Japanese immediately. The Philippines are made up of many islands, with narrow straits between them. A WWII battle fleet defending a strait has a huge advantage over the attacker. This would be demonstrated early in the morning on the 2nd day of the battle, when the smaller Southern Japanese force would fall into a trap and be annihilated by the 7th fleet’s battle line. Moving in single file through the Surigao Strait, they were forced to endure torpedo attacks from light warships and then advance into the broadside fire of the entire American and Australian battle line, and sank or fled quickly. This was the last battle between big gun battleships in history.
