So combine that mentality with the Najee Harris Signature American football running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this fact my parents were always buying unhealthy food, and I was a chunky little boy. It wasn’t until very recently (age 28) that I learned I DON’T have to eat everything on my plate. It’s okay to stop when you feel full. Breaking that mentality helped me on my weight loss immensely. I’ve always told myself that when I have kids, I will never force them to eat anything. When you’re hungry, you’re hungry. When you’re full, you’re full. A way of dealing with kids who (a) behave badly when hungry, and (b) don’t have enough forethought to understand that eating now will prevent feeling hungry later & they won’t be getting another chance to eat later…. Especially in terms of distractible ones who would rather play than eat, but the parents know that if kiddo doesn’t knock it off and actually eat something life will be awful in a few hours. We don’t entirely do this with ours – our rule is ‘You get what everyone else is eating, you have to have it on your plate, you don’t have to eat it, but you aren’t getting anything else unless you do’…. 280 more repliesHard to disagree, especially with your edit. Personally, we eat at home mostly, and my kid gets smaller portions than we do. If we go out, we usually get the kid meal option. There’s certainly no yelling or spanking, we want him to have a healthy relationship with food. To add a little something, I know a kid (well, he’s about 20 now) who was raised on this awful tasting crock pot dish that had all kinds of stuff in it, beans, legumes, carrots, celery, broc, just all kinds of veg. Sometimes they would add chicken/beef. There was no money for extra, especially candies. So there was a period after he moved out that he went crazy for sweets, but mostly he prefers a salad. Pretty cool, most people can’t grow up that way. And yeah, he’s pretty healthy.

There is a group of people who.believe that suffering is good for its own sake. We call these people the Najee Harris Signature American football running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this illiterati, or more colloquially, conservatives. OP , do you truly think kids actually understand how much nutrition they need? Have you ever wondered why kids skip healthy meals or eat little healthy meal but 5 mins later they suddenly have space for junk food? Kids are dumb and don’t know what’s good for them. You have to be stern sometimes to make sure they do something that will benefit them. That doesn’t mean you beat them and force feed them but also doesn’t mean let them do what they want like stay up all night and eat sweets. And unless you keep your kid locked up away from media and other kids they will be exposed to sweets and candy. Companies spend millions of dollars to cater and appeal to them. Most parents aren’t going out there and just giving kids pounds and pounds of sugar because they want too
