I have nothing to add since most comments address the Nacho Average Gamer Video Gamer Cinco De Mayo T-Shirt besides I will buy this question well, but that said, over 30 years ago I moved to Toronto for about a year and I remember seeing a homeless man who had no shoes–his feet were black and filthy—and I wondered what was going to happen to him once it got cold In nyc, many buildings have city steam and the hot air vents out on the grids you see when walking next to a residential building, they usually camp there and no one can do anything about it. Where I live, my city sets up warming centers during the winter so homeless people can stay warm. We still have quite a few who die each winter due to exposure and hypothermia though. In NYC, a lot of homeless people will stay underground in the subway system when the weather gets bad. They’ll ride the trains, hang out at a specific station if they’re left unbothered, or sometimes even go into the train tunnels if they know they can find a hidden/safe space. Maybe they’d even just hang out at the bus/train terminals without entering the subway. Lots of homeless people prefer that to going to a shelter.

I befriended a few of the Nacho Average Gamer Video Gamer Cinco De Mayo T-Shirt besides I will buy this homeless people in my town in upstate NY when I was a kid. Most would commit a petty crime and spend winter in jail. They told me it was three hots and a cot plus a break from whatever substance they preferred. They seek indoor shelter wherever they can. Sometimes that’s indoors, sometimes that’s in tents. Snow camping is a thing, and staying warm is hard to do. I took out the little free library I had in our front yard because homeless people cleared it out multiple times for all the books one winter. Then, when walking through a nearby park where homeless people had been camped, I saw a bunch of the books from my library that had been burned for fuel. The only upside is that the people who had taken the books to burn as fuel had been arrested and jailed for dealing heroin and fentanyl, and their campsite that was near a playground was being cleared by a hazmat team.
