I have eaten one out of curiosity, and as you say, well. Last time I ate some I didn’t sleep for 3 days Its an ancient recipe to get you high as fook on sugar while you charge around the lake district shouting HIIIII to everyone you see no matter how far away. I had some when I went to the lakes, climbing a small mountain. Got most of the way up and was seriously flagging at that, and then I had a couple of tabs of it. It feels like the equivalent of a shot of adrenaline under those circumstances I personally can’t stand the stuff, but when my mum was pregnant with my brother she apparently sent my dad shopping on multiple occasions because she was craving Kendal mint cake with cream cheese

Love it. Moved from Australia and love how it melts in your mouth. Much like a pack of Polos that have sat out for a week. You need to go out on a while and get lost. It’s an emergency ration. Alternatively wait till winter and hike across a mountain range. Also take many packs of butter with you. You eat it on its own. Good luck I love Kendal Mint Cake. Used to do a lot of outdoor pursuits (ran Duke of Edinburgh etc) and this was a delight to find in my bag.
