When I tell you it was a walk in the park it just felt like I was catching up with an old friend! This is my first job out of college and my position is Civil/Ag. Engineer! I love when interviews seem more like a conversation, I always do so well when you’re allowed to show some personality in small talk haha. I’m curious, how long did it take for you to get your offer? I am expecting to wait a while as is the case for a lot of federal jobs, but I definitely am hoping I know sooner rather than later! So I asked when I would hear back by and my manager was like definitely a month. I bid you not I heard back exactly a week later from HR asking me to upload my diploma so they could verify I graduated and then they sent the TO that evening and then I did have to wait 2-3 weeks for my FO! So from late May after the interview, June received the first offer. Heard nothing for weeks. Got the FO at the end of the month. July consisted of filling a lot of paperwork out, background checks and fingerprints! And I started on Aug 31st after moving and settling in for about 2 weeks What agency under the USDA? It’s good to brush up on any agency programs, and initiatives that you will be working with

You’ll sometimes have a second interview with the feds but in private, second or even third interviews are not uncommon. Probably the unhelpful odd man out, but I didn’t have an actual interview. Just applied and got the offer after a phone screen making sure I met qualifications and then got told that they would be reaching out within a few weeks to schedule the interview. I got the FO instead.
