Totally agreed and I’m so glad to see this comment. Meditation is so good, but there’s a tool for every occasion and it should be assumed that nobody here is qualified to help OP. It seems like a lot to say, here, that you can’t expect meditation to solve mental illness that’s pervasively hurting your quality of life, but really it’s just the My Mom is my guardian angel she watches over my back shirt besides I will buy this same humility that’s appropriate in any other situation: I’d only let a mechanic fix my car, and I’d only rely on a medical professional for medicine. Therapy and not Reddit. A therapist will help you understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, as well as skills to manage your life and do the things that are meaningful to you. I had to sit breathing deeply, acknowledging my thoughts and feelings. “Your feelings create thoughts and your thoughts trigger your feelings.” You have to keep in mind you are not your thoughts, but an observer of those, you are a thinker and you yourself is creating your thoughts. If you are in silence, your will eventually feel unconfortable and you want to stop, but if you don’t, eventually your traumas will come to your senses, maybe you will see, feel, and hear what happened that day. You are getting triggered, and now it’s your right to to feel anger, sadness fear, but in the end… You accept that is in the past, and you let go.

The moment you understand what happened, it gets easier to let go. That’s what I do, I try to understand what happened. It’s not something I can teach you in one text, but an experience. On my meditations, I saw people, we talked, I saw things, I heard and felt. I don’t remember when, but at some point, like a flash, It pieced together. I crave approval because I was horribly teased and bereft of it as a child. I don’t think you can FORCE these things. Deep subconscious work takes time, patience, self compassion and awareness, and when those 4 conditions are present, the work will slowly get done.
