Creating I Am Made Strong was a way for Opoku to reflect on what was happening to her body. “I needed something to get away from my worries and to reflect on my journey in a different way. I wanted to transform it from this terrifying moment into a moment of peace,” she explains. An encounter with an exhibition on ancient Egypt at the My Life Is Ruled By A Tiny Grumpy Overlord Pugdoog Queen Shirt in other words I will buy this New Museum in Berlin proved deeply influential. Taken by the ancient Egyptian belief in the afterlife, Opoku began to study the Book of the Dead, a compilation of Egyptian texts to help the deceased navigate the afterlife and reach a paradise symbolic of their lives on earth. “I was so moved by how the Egyptians reconciled with death that I started thinking about my own possible death differently,” Opoku says. “If I was meant to leave this life soon, I wanted to create my own chapters reflecting on mortality, and preparing for whatever lay beyond.”

Quick and easy to upload image and also, very easy to complete the online order. I can’t believe how quickly they completed and delivered my order. The image looks better than I could have hoped for. It was my husband’s 66th birthday and the image gave him a good giggle. I shall be re-ordering again this week using the gift voucher that came with order.

Pleased with the quality of the t shirt, however the design printed on it did not stand out as much as it did on the online mock up, the colour of the logo was too pale
Jamie Cota (verified owner) –
brilliant as usual thank you

I found the design studio easy to use, although knowing exactly where the design would appear on the garment is a little hit and miss as it is a static image. Perhaps a “Put logo in centre of shirt” or other standard locations could be added? Products were despatched promptly and were of good print quality. Considering the current situation I was very impressed by Streetshirts service and will be using them for our printed merchandise on our website
