Maybe a set up to a whole “Preditor” universe as it goes throught time and catches up to us. Maybe fueture movies will give winks and nods to the My grandpa golfs better than your grandpa classic shirt and I love this first two. Although i do also like the concept takeing some of these other apocalypse themes and setting it in other points through time. I wish they would expand on the AVP concept of the first pyramid civilization in Antarctica and the human culture that worshipped the Predators This has so much potential but will probably end up terrible. I hope for the best because when I saw all the antiques at the end of predator 2 my first thought was a period piece predator picture. Good. I’ve wanted to see Predator movies in different time periods ever since I saw that fan made video of a predator hunting Christian and Muslim soldiers during the Crusades. Predator with stealth, laser sight, energy cannon, throwing stars and a nuke loses to man with bow and arrow: the movie I adore the original Predator. And have quite a bit of time for Predator 2 as well. But as a franchise I just don’t think it has the legs for multiple sequels. It’s basically rinse repeat. Same formula over and over. Setting it hundreds of years ago doesn’t really change anything fundamental. Just a gimmick – bows and arrows instead of machine guns. I dunno. Unless you’re going to do a full blown AVP sci-fi epic set in outer space – along the lines of the comics. Just having a Predator go up another group of humans… again, doesn’t really excite me.

Fun fact, the My grandpa golfs better than your grandpa classic shirt and I love this third predator movie was supposed to be about a pirate which a predator took interest in (which is why at the end of predator 2, Danny Glover gets a flintlock pistol as a sign of respect) Dude I’ve been ducking waiting for a historical predator movie for soooooo fucking long. Please lord jebus let it be good The original movie is my favorite of all Arnold Swarzenagger(?) movies. I love the story line and the fact it was set in the jungle an and indegenous women shared the history of her people….the men…. with the Predadotor… El casador de hombres. I hope the Prequal keeps that theme going.. acknowledgement of idigenous people. So the predators will be using old tech too, or will they have even new looking weapons than in the one with Schwarzenegger or Danny Glover?
