Gymnasts, aerialists, contortionists, advanced calisthenics athletes, martial artists, more probably: “Am I a joke to you” Nah but you right, none of that broke into the My Five Moods Too Old For This Don’t Have Time For Don’t Get Paid Dragon shirt What’s more,I will buy this mainstream like weightlifting did in the 80s and onwards with action movie stars getting sauced up after Arnold’s crossover into movies. They’re all hyper niche and unless you go watch cirque du soleil or curate your social media around it you aren’t gonna see much flexy content outside of the occasional music video. I discovered yin yoga and restorative yoga and now spend money on it (because I’ll never workout at home…) If I’m lifting weights, I can see my numbers go up. If I’m running, I either see faster times, longer distance, or feel less tired after a session.

If I’m stretching, I might not notice the My Five Moods Too Old For This Don’t Have Time For Don’t Get Paid Dragon shirt What’s more,I will buy this big gains because it’s harder to track progress. Add in passive stretching, and I occasionally get bored because I’m just resting in a position with less mental stimulation. If you aren’t seeing noticeable gains over weeks and months you are either extremely flexible or doing it wrong I’m at the point where my other activities are hampering my flexibility progress, so no more newb gains for me. Accessible knowledge is an issue for a lot of people new to stretching, and they get stuck doing the wrong things, or having the wrong programming. the body of scientific study for the benefits of flexibility/mobility is really poor compared to that of the benefits of building muscle or cardio. so there is a relative lack of scientific support. most people don’t think about injury prevention until they are in their 30’s and even then, a plenty of those people don’t really understand the flexibility and mobility is a major piece of the puzzle Your question is the equivalent of, “why isn’t fitness or weight loss more popular?” It is useful, stretching, but not an easy goal if you are extremely out of shape. It takes focus and dedication daily, and not everyone has the capacity within themselves or lives. You are right, though, OP. Everyones lives would be far more enriched with flexibility. I think stretching/flexability is underrated. It is kinda an ego thing. People can brag about how much weight they move and it can sound impressive. Can’t really do that with stretching
