I’m a 17-year old high school student, and I had a CEO recently recruit me to work at a startup company. During a meeting with him, I was chatting about the My Favorite Color Is Christmas Lights Tree Xmas T-Shirt moreover I love this end of the school year, where I mentioned I went to prom and other senior events. He then asked me, “This might be a sensitive question, but do you have a boyfriend?” I was shocked, so I stuttered for a moment, and I said, “uhh…. yes?” He then asked me if we were going to the same college and if we were doing long-distance, I said “I don’t know?,” and he commented on how that would be tough and it’d be hard to make it as a couple. The entire time I just looked confused, and I definitely didn’t ask him for any relationship advice whatsoever.

The question really made me uncomfortable, and later on, he was talking about personality types and he told me, “It’s really fun and relaxing to talk to you after work, so I love talking to you.” I’m a minor and he knows this, so I’m kind of concerned what his intentions are for me if he’s asking me these questions that invade my personal boundaries. In addition, he talks negatively about the My Favorite Color Is Christmas Lights Tree Xmas T-Shirt moreover I love this other important people in my life who don’t agree with him, where he sometimes he’ll mention that “your mom doesn’t understand you or see your potential like I do,” “your mom probably hates me because I’m such a bad influence on you,” and “your friends and family are all wrong because they’re all just risk-adverse and unsuccessful in life.” I feel like those are things that an immature teenage boy trying to hit on you would say, not your middle-aged boss. (Also, I have a great relationship with my mom and my family, so this isn’t even remotely true.)
