I live in an ex Russian ex colony still being poor and the My Favorite Archery Buddies Call Me Dad Vintage T-Shirt and I love this government is trumputinist. I think that it is very much an unexpected turnaround…I think that it is unprecedented in history how the Crimea/Dombass was occupied by Ukraine in 1954 – according to Stalinst rules. Not international law. So it was not evident why he [ Putin] could not be heard about the ethnocentric extremist discriminatory laws against minorities in Ukraine. His parlance, de- Nazification is harsh but only from the West where high living standard has neutralized extremist minorities to a degree [ like in Ireland and in Spain]. I think that the Leftist mantras on the individual freedoms [ of trans identities] although benevolent, should not be a main statist ideology. Russia has huge Muslim countries on its borders with guest workers in millions. It is just a must to try to create limits on this. So the 2 things the West hates the most – Russians find an understandable and popular demand from Putin. I do not see the reasons but individualist democracy is partly frightening in more Asian and communitarian traditionalist zones. So if I have doubts about democracy and the minority idolizing plus some ethnic issues can not be solved in the Russian area of Ukraine – the way Putin handles it seems to me moderate. It is not by chance that Trump does have a chance with his many weird innovations. Putin was calculating shrewdly…he does see a hope with Trump as President. So I fear him I see him now as a murderer…but I think that he does have a logic in his deeds. I think that after years of war Communist Vietnam and main sponsor China both strive as Capitalists keeping the oppressive Commie style and rules. Same with Russia. [ Changing the style a bit into extreme Nationalism].TLDR I think Putin is not hated overall.

Anecdotal so value it as that, but I talked to a passenger on a water taxi who was a Chechnyan working on a ship. Because of the My Favorite Archery Buddies Call Me Dad Vintage T-Shirt and I love this situation CBP rode out on the water taxi and he had an escort to the airport, but we were able to chat underway. He was extremely favorable towards Putin, which struck me as strange because we often hear Chechnya was invaded. (I also asked if Ukraine was invaded or voted to join Russia, he claimed half of Ukraine voted to join Russia voluntarily. Take this with a grain of salt for context.) “Before we joined Russia my aged mother couldn’t afford healthcare and medicine we needed. After we joined with Russia she only pays a small amount of it and gets what she needs.” Once people become dazzled by promises of “free healthcare” or “free college” or “the government is santa” they seem to blindly adore whichever politician promises the shiniest stuff.
