Just say, “No, thanks.” They will dangle the Mt. Ararat High School Class Of 2026 shirt What’s more,I will buy this carrot in front of you forever. Then, they will hire someone from outside the company to fill that role. Sounds like they want you to be an interim manager without an end date and the relevant pay. While they may not realize that they’re being abusive in that regard, people who offer this kind of “opportunity” are often cheap and know they’re taking advantage. I’d suggest offering a formalized interim role where you can go back to what you currently do if things dont work out and get paid appropriately with the new responsibilities. The payscale would revert back to what you make now if things go that direction. Get it in writing with a defined end date. I was in an interim supervisory role for the better part of 6 months before i told them i needed to go back to my prior position. No issues there because we established the fact it was an interim. They bumped someone else to the interim (yes after 6 months they still didnt have a permanent replacement which was part of the problem). There were no hard feelings for my desire to not be in that role anymore. Really wish i’d established an end date at the start…6 months was way too long.

If they weren’t sure you could do the Mt. Ararat High School Class Of 2026 shirt What’s more,I will buy this work, they wouldn’t give it to you. Get this in writing if you say yes. But please read about everyone who had this happen who did not get more pay. They’re just trying to squeeze more labor out of you for free. They are pocketing your boss’s paycheck, and lowering your paycheck by increasing your responsibilities without pay increase. I don’t go into a car dealership and tell them “hey, I want to make sure this is the right fit for me first. I’ll drive it off the lot for a few months, and once I’m “comfortable” with it, I’ll sign the paperwork and pay you” The world has gone bonkers. In no other situation in life are you able to get goods, services, or labor for free while you “test it out”. GTFOH.
