Just to be clear – £1500 per month after taxes is the Moory Christmas Highland Cow Santa Hat snows shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this equivalent of 21k per year – which is absolutely low paid nowadays They’re 16 & 18. The eldest is currently a TA undergoing teacher training. The youngest is a trainee plasterer going to college 1 day a week. I’m sure by the time they’ve completed training, they’ll be doing much better If you can afford to, you should not charge them anything. If you ever want them to move out and not be absolutely fucking skewered by all of the scams around around buying houses and rents they will need tens of thousands of pounds to move out. I am on more than them and i have between 15k and 20k saved and pay no board. Im still 20k away from buying a house with a driveway in my area.

Moory Christmas Highland Cow Santa Hat snows shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

All mine had trust funds which i plowed every penny into from the Moory Christmas Highland Cow Santa Hat snows shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this day they were born, never took a holiday for years so they could all have 20k each come 18yrs old Never paid anything, would never ask my kids to pay anything. It’ll get downvoted cause Reddit, but lots of people don’t feel the need to take money from their children. Whatever their age. I think charging a proportional rate for their share of utilities plus food is totally fair. If you insist on charging board for their rooms why not move that money into separate saving accounts and let them know that they will get that portion back when they are ready to move out. It will help with house deposit/cost of furnishing a home. More practically the less they save the longer they are under your roof. Saving for a house as a solo is a daunting task these days. Don’t make them wade through mud to get there.
