This is where you might have problems (being 40 by the Montreal Canadiens Native Shirt in other words I will buy this time you come back like you said). For me, London got pretty boring pretty quick in my 30s. Not to say I dislike it, but if I go anywhere near central more than twice a month it’s too much. If you can work anywhere (in theory), London would be the last place I’d go, based purely on the cost of living. This is what my other half says and while I do take that in to account, I live in the most boring city in Europe and I love how much London has to offer. We don’t nor will ever have kids. I still go to night clubs and while I go a lot less these days, they are still a big part of my life because of the music. The problem with “nice and warm” is my other half having her career but not knowing the local language

I would suggest you also consider the Montreal Canadiens Native Shirt in other words I will buy this areas just around London. I grew up in London but have no interest in living there anymore. I live in Hertfordshire. I can be out in green fields within five minutes but my wife who works in London can get to Kings Cross in 25 mins. And you’ll get more space for your money. Kinda the best of both worlds. And yet here you are, posting on the London subreddit. Are you trying to convince everyone else that leaving London is the best decision- or are you really trying to convince yourself in hindsight? Seems to be a recurring theme on here. It would be like me subscribing to the Birmingham subreddit just to constantly tell them all how much I don’t want to live there. It’s a perfectly valid opinion but I’ve no desire to shit on those who clearly disagree. Yes, there does seem to be a weird contingent of these people on the subreddit. OP has clearly stated they earn enough money to live in London and wants to enjoy big city nightlife with no intention of having kids, and people are suggesting they move to Hertfordshire?! Literally why would that make the slightest sense?
