Idk if this is really an unpopular opinion, but I’m really tired of eyeshadows having PET or PBT glitter and then being labeled “pigment powders” or something. They then get advertised as eyeshadows or being very close to the Monday night punk shirt so you should to go to store and get this eye, and but there’s teeny tiny text saying “Not intended for use on or around the eye.” I just think that’s so scummy. Yes I am thinking of ColourPop, but it’s also just something I’ve been noticing in other brands (ABH, Peripera, Clio, etc.) ever since glitter, shimmer, and metallic shadows have gotten trendier. I love shimmery eyeshadows so much, but everytime I see a pretty eyeshadow with sparkles, I have to double check the ingredients list. I’m going to get flamed for this, but since it’s unpopular opinion time…. dewy, glass skin looks greasy af. I said what i said. I’m 32 and I literally just asked my best friend where the line was between dewy and glazed doughnut neither of us have figured it out

I hate the Monday night punk shirt so you should to go to store and get this look of oily skin. I don’t know what it is but anything where someone is oily… like in movies where they oil up those dudes’ chests, or using massage oil on someone… the dewy makeup looks so OILY!!! I can’t stand it. I don’t have a tik tok and my Instagram reel algorithm doesn’t show me makeup, so maybe I’m just out of the loop of how bad the situation is… For me it is that fake freckles are not cute (from someone with natural full body freckles) I really truly hate when people use yellow based powder (jaundice is not hot) The large fake lashes are too much and tacky And that not everyone needs to fill in their brows to the point where they look stamped on I’ve always hated fake freckles. 99% of the time, they look like splashes of dirt because people think we have to see the freckles from a mile away.
