MAiD needs to be expanded from only terminal illness…. I’m facing altzeimers (sp?)…. That is a horrible death on my loved ones… to hang on not knowing it at the Mom The Original Superhero Best Mom Messy Bun Hearts Floral T-Shirt But I will love this time, the family knows and has to go through the pain of loosing someone over years rather than a few months… I don’t know your financial situation but Switzerland allows MAiD tourism. I’m so grateful he didn’t suffer. Lost my 86 year old mom back in August. She had an infection and in her weakened state, she fell and hurt her back. She went to the hospital, where her infection worsened. Not too long afterward, she lost the ability to swallow, and soon after that it was apparent that she was not going to recover and so we moved her to hospice care at my sister’s house
