I walked to my house on the same street to get my tow truck drivers details etc. by the time i got back police were already there. Old lady who hit me already gave her statement and i wondered why she was listening to me intently giving mine. All was good got her details etc. when i called her later that night to get her insurance details she refused and said i hit her and told me she had a witness to back her claim. I hung up and contacted the attending officer who wasn’t at the station so i explained what was going on to the officer on the phone. Within 24hrs i had her insurance call me to honour my claim. Obviously the police report was self explanatory. Needless to say i don’t trust the elderly as i did prior to my experience.
