No officer I was clearly going 25 EMPH not whatever this 50 number is, are you even adjusting for how much of a hurry I was in? I’d really would like to know specifically why the Mitski My Body’s Made Of Crushed Little Stars Limited Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this guy has such a hate boner for AMD. The mental gymnastics the guy goes through to trash something when he doesn’t even have an incentive is baffling. It can’t be as simple as ‘money lol’ surely I think most brand fanboyism is caused by the psychological effect called post purchase rationalization. The userbenchmark people just got it really bad. It’s not bad in concept if the fps is unreliable or some other fuckery is involved, but from what i’ve heard they’re a bias hack. I haven’t actually looked into why everybody calls them crazy because it frankly seems boring and i can just go check out a few real game benchmark videos for at least popular parts thus far I’ve only found fps that don’t match the feel they should have when either: a monitor is misconfigured, drivers aren’t updated for a new game, the engine itself as issues or is misconfigured for your hardware, or a component is bottlenecking too much. Most of these are completely or partially fixable and not the fault of the hardware itself They’ve copy and pasted the same toxic script for ryzen since the 3000 series. Talking about how AMD users are Neanderthals and how a celeron can beat threadrippers. EFPS is a really clever formula that should be a great way of comparing hundreds of different chips without having to benchmark every configuration

Userbenchmark took their great invention and perverted it with cherrypicked data. All they bench is GTA5 and a handful of esports titles, one of which doesn’t even exist anymore. “Effective” frames per second, basically “I don’t like AMD so I’m going to make up some bullshit number so my favourite Intel chip looks better”. Not ideal but better that this garbage. In any case it is better to use real benchmarks like ones from hardware unboxed/techspot. Honestly PassMark shows how CPU is good at passmark, which to some degree collerates with a performance in different tasks. I usually prefer to look at reviews like TomsHardware, Anandtech, GN, HW etc and look how good given CPU is at tasks I’m using it for. Yeah it’s not perfect, but it’s much much better and will give you a decent performance baseline without the Mitski My Body’s Made Of Crushed Little Stars Limited Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this bias and idiocy. if others don’t know the site. Benchmarking is full of bias, that’s the point of it. Passmark’s bias in this case is making up their limited set of tests, it tells you how good X is at Passmark. If you must insist on using a canned suite. Use Geekbench or ideally Phoronix/Openbenchmarking. Userbenchmark is the tech equivalent of “My grandmother told me”; publishing outright lies to promote their own opinion, completely ignoring the facts and myriad of other sources.
