Glad you are rid of him. Does not sound like he learned anything at all, so he’ll make himself someone else’s problem. If you have an eight-year-old I would guess he’s in his mid-twenties? Not being able to do any of those things for himself at that age is just shameful. Great work! You threw out that pile of trash! You are halfway there. Now you just need to throw out the Mickey scream classic shirt But I will love this rest of the trash, the pile you have labelled “best friend”… Sounds like a useless lazy arse. The point of doing chores isnt to “just tell me what to do” he should know what he has to do. If he doesent know how to cook, he should at the very least show some interest in how to learn to cook. Sounds like you made the right call. Not for him, but for someone else in the future, some people don’t learn, or can’t learn on t heir own. Their brain shuts off, they can’t think, they start to panic. If you want someone to learn something, don’t give them a book and say ‘have fun.’ You need to guide their hands every step of they way and teach them. Otherwise it just doesn’t work. Your Ex needed to be taught, he genuinely wanted to try but didn’t know what to do. Pictures and instructions are cool but if you don’t know what any of it means then it’s gibberish. These people had their parents do literally everything for them, probably because their dad’s were shit people and had their mom’s do everything. People need to be taught what to do, because they just don’t know.

Mickey scream classic shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Sadly this man was essentially equipped with the Mickey scream classic shirt But I will love this life skills of a child. I hope he can get better, but you were NOT in the wrong. If you want someone to learn something, don’t give them a book and say ‘have fun.’ You need to guide their hands every step of they way and teach them. Otherwise it just doesn’t work. That process is the job of a parent, not a (potential) life partner. And let’s be truthful, any reasonably capable adult can figure out how to do “new” things that perhaps their growing up experience didn’t equip them with. New parents usually don’t have a manual detailing how to take care of the baby. New homeowners don’t get a nicely detailed book on how to maintain their new home. It’s all part of being an adult – take responsibility, figure out what needs doing, and learn to do it. This reads as weaponized incompetence, I struggle to see how anyone could mess up a recipe box style meal with instructions this much. The destruction of the kitchen seems almost intentional to have shocked you into obedience of “wow I need to cook everything or he’ll burn the house down”.

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
