Employer-based health care ensures that only the Mickey Mouse This Girl Loves Her Kansas City Chiefs And Disney 2024 shirt Apart from…,I will love this “deserving” get treatment. “A conservative is someone who lies awake at night, worrying that someone, somewhere is getting something for nothing.” The idea is that all Americans who fear it have health insurance, so they’re already covered. Free healthcare would mean they would pay more taxes to subsidize healthcare for the poor. Net net they would be paying more taxes because of poor people. I don’t agree with them, but I understand the rational as to why some would be against it if you’re selfish and don’t care for poor/less fortunate people It also really doesn’t help that Canada’s taxes are so much higher and the healthcare system is garbage (long wait times). So to a well off American with health insurance, they’d be paying more to gain less. The healthcare is free “at the point of use” but isn’t really free. The fact is it costs money. Either you can’t pay, or the government can’t pay. Look at Canada or the UK. Both healthcare systems on the verge of collapse, years long waiting lists for basic procedures. Might work well for a rich country like Sweden selling all that iron ore to Nazi Germany, relying on the US military for protection. But for countries with real spending priorities and obligations, some just prefer to let the individual save and prepare rather than being totally reliant on the state.

Socialized medicine takes some of the Mickey Mouse This Girl Loves Her Kansas City Chiefs And Disney 2024 shirt Apart from…,I will love this decisions away from the patient and if an invasive treatment or surgery isn’t going to improve quantity of life is not offered in some countries. This scares some. The wait for mental health in the NHS is over one year depending on the condition. So people are still paying out of pocket or waiting. Because we already spend a higher portion of our GDP on healthcare than a lot of countries, and more money per person on healthcare than a lot of countries. Yet our healthcare is deemed worse than most of those. The problem isn’t the healthcare funding, it’s the corruption, profiteering, inefficiency, and lifestyle of the average American. But to answer your question more directly, our government doesn’t do anything well, so there is no reason to think they will do healthcare well. We have proof that they suck at it, because a segment of our citizens (armed-services veterans) have government-run healthcare, and they universally revile it. I’m an American (don’t hold it against me; everyone has their faults) living in Central Europe and have used socialized medicine in two countries. It is my view that the American lawmakers are in the deep pockets of the medical-pharmaceutical lobby, which does not want to change the status quo, for financial reasons, and furthermore, the American public has been sold a lie that, socialized medicine is no good etc…
