I always park my truck near a cart corral when shopping there as it’s the farthest you can get from all of the loose carts Where I live (Europe) how we deal with this is that you have to put a small coin into the cart when you take it out of the pile. You get it back when you bring the cart back. You can put multiple coin types (even popular foreign currency nowadays) so you should always have a viable coin with you. And if you really don’t have one, a customer service desk or cashiers usually carry plastic tokens that you can use instead. I don’t think I have ever seen a cart left out on a parking lot. Worst case scenario is a random passerby wilk bring it back to get some free change. You expect anything less at Wallyworld, home of PJ shopping, grab and go theft, open food and drinks in the aisles. Surely you jest.

Went to Walmart in the Mickey mouse player Baltimore Ravens Disney football shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this middle of the night with some friends one night and we could only watch as a rogue cart came rolling through the parking lot because it was windy and dented some poor souls car. People are fucking animals and our unwillingness to put away shopping carts shows it. My parents have taught me to ALWAYS put my basket up, now that I’m an adult, I still do it, and I don’t understand how other adults can be this lazy. And here I was thinking the laziness of Americans was wildly overblown, I guess not. Like seriously have you guys become so reliant on your cars that you cant walk anymore? Not pictured: A cart return. My supermarket has a few cart returns on every aisle, so there isn’t an issue with people leaving carts everywhere.
