here’s what i do as a very low maintenance 27 y/o girl, meaning i’m not into fashion or doing fancy makeup or hair styles: -shower every other day (unless i go to gym or get super sweaty, then every day), make sure i wash my Mickey Mouse Minnesota Vikings NFL You Do Not Want This Smoke 2024 Shirt besides I will buy this pits and lady parts, shave, use face wash, clean my hair thoroughly. -in terms of my complexion upkeep, i just use a nightly acne lotion and spot cream/zit patch if i have a big zit. -makeup is only for work or if im feeling fancy. i put on eye primer, liquid black eyeliner on my top lid, and mascara, no concealer or anything. if my face is a little red then i’ll put some powder on maybe. -if you have long hair, brush it every day with a nicer brush. i straighten my hair a little when i leave it down because my curls get unruly, otherwise it’s a simple ponytail. i’m slowly learning how to do my hair again because i haven’t had long hair since 5th grade and never learned to style it. currently trying to grasp hair claws and how they work. -make sure your undies and bras are clean and don’t smell. i typically re-wear shirts two times, unless they smell like BO. that being said, if you’ve been together awhile and he’s never brought anything up then i don’t think you’re doing anything wrong. i’ve been with my bf for over 3 and a half years and unless i smell like a sewer or don’t shave (armpits mostly) then he doesn’t really care. you shouldn’t change anything about yourself for a partner, do these things because YOU want too. there’s nothing wrong with being lowkey and not wearing makeup or doing your hair fancy. I shower every other day (if you have a detachable shower head I like to clean my vagina and ass ~vulgar I know but it is what it is lol~). I floss (don’t forget to floss!). If you use makeup then you NEED to clean your brushes. I use deodorant and a body mist, I’ll use perfume if I’m going somewhere fancy. I moisturize and I make sure it’s not scented (I also like to use a moisturizer with hyaluronic acid). Sometimes I’ll use serums or a retinol but it’s not necessary. I ALWAYS wear sunscreen. That’s about it.

Great advice here about showering and whatnot! Remember that everyone is different. I live in a dry dry desert and I have dry dry skin, so I tend to shower about every other day or so. When I was more feminine-presenting, I never did a lot with my hair or appearance either. Might I recommend maybe getting a shorter haircut if you always have it up? Then you can just let it be and not worry about doing it. Only if you’re open to it. With make-up, I went through phases but if I did put on any, just a bit of mascara and a little bit of neutral eye-shadow as eyeliner. Makes your eyes pop and takes maybe 2 seconds. I never shaved regularly either, even back then There’s a spectrum to these things. And honestly, a lot are habits people build up over their whole lives, so maybe just start small and don’t expect to take on a million new grooming practices and expect to keep up with them forever. Fashion can be really fun!!
