Try being forced to work overnights and still get your normal pay without the Mickey Mouse Damn Right I Am A Ohio State Buckeyes Win Or Lose Shirt But I will love this shift differential overnights gets Some of us don’t get those choices. I work second shift currently and work every single holiday while first shift has it off, I don’t do it because I want to I do it because I have a son to support that comes before my wants or comforts For a pay increase after training in that area to exceed the amount that area typically gets paid. Why? Because now that I’d know that area as well as my original area, making me twice as useful. Skill costs money, they better pay Then communicate with my coworkers to do the same. It’ll only ultimately work if everyone bands together, either someone will get a raise or they’ll properly staff the area

I thought that you have to get paid the Mickey Mouse Damn Right I Am A Ohio State Buckeyes Win Or Lose Shirt But I will love this going rate for whichever job you do for 60% of your work week? I read that somewhere on one Walmart. Pretty sure that’s why we won’t call for help more than a few days a week and if we do, we grab team leads first (who already make more). i was told this is okay and fully allowed for you at your same pay to spend a few hours/help in other departments HOWEVER if you work an entire shift in said department you’re supposed to get that department’s pay for that shift. i’d assume ESPECIALLY if it’s full shifts multiple days. If you work more than half your scheduled hours in a higher paying department they owe you compensation legally. I would never pull from another department, I feel like that’s such a failure as a lead if I do that. BUT the one or two times I had to pull due to coach telling me to, I would only allow an hour or two of help max.
