This is kind of a terrible answer because it’s already been done, but I almost want an re1 remake with a more serious tone and maybe an expanded mansion. I’ve played through re1 remake with the Mickey Mouse Always Harry Potter Lgbt shirt and I love this randomizer a ton of times so having a newer more polished version with a new randomizer would be hype I think they could remake pretty much any of them except for 6. You’d basically have to just make a whole new game for 6, I think it’s better to just kinda… Pretend it doesn’t exist or something. Resident evil 1. Gives all fans a solid start for the series and establishes the story for everyone. Also seeing spencer mansion in the new engine would be amazing. I did the survey and said that it would be nice to get 0, 1, Code Veronica, 5, and 6 remade so that the entire RE cannon is in RE engine. I also said i wouldn’t mind if they rewrote parts of 5 and 6. Going the texas chainsaw massacre route with RE7 revitalized the series. Maybe using the shining as a jumping off point would work this time? You’re stranded with family in an icy hotel landscape. Isolation. Biohazard. Your family morphing into both figurative and literal monsters. The story is better when it becomes more intimidate human stuff and less corporation military shit. No more “drops what you need” zombie kills like the current games, where the enemies drop what you are low on. More like the original where you have to find items in places they might belong. Allow for certain zombies to have tons of ammo because they are skinned as security guards, or UCBS troops, or rooms with a lot of ammo like a hunting lodge room or security room, but you simply can’t carry it all. Nor can you carry more than 1 big gun and 2 pistols (maybe +1 and +1 as you find new tactical vests)

Wuss answer: Code Veronica so it can also have a version without ink ribbons.Also Dead Aim because Namco x Capcom already sold me on its cast. However, I also recall Capcom gauging interest for Darkstalkers 4… by selling an underwhelming collection… so yeah, maybe take this with a grain of salt. i voted for the Mickey Mouse Always Harry Potter Lgbt shirt and I love this first game since that game is just incredibly unforgiving especially for newcomers. could not care less about a code veronica remake I mean 5 would be awesome, updated widescreen co-op would be incredible and there’s definitely a need in the market for that. Probably out of theme but what if its a multiplayer game in a city. When game starts, you get a random starting point in the city or suburbs. There would be plenty of npcs (not yet bitten). Then your goal is to get out or get to the airport etc. outbreaks happens. a number of zombies start attacking npcs. if you kill the zombie before it bites npc then you have less to deal with and npc just starts going for objective as well or hides. Then it can also happen to a player, they get bit turns in a few seconds if not completely killed and you run around finding more players to infect. then of course you encounter other players, your choice to get rid of them loot them or have an ally. “open worldish” in the city. game ends if every player dies, or able to kill all zombies or after an hour a nuke comes. Winners are basically the survivors etc.
