The reported mentioned that he promised he’d do it many times in the campaign, they replied they didn’t think he really would. The same people said they wouldn’t vote for Hillary Clinton because she was a liar. They were upset that Trump WASN’T a liar about Obamacare. The cognitive gap there is staggering. They’ve given themselves an extra 30% undeserved representation that is through illegal gerrymandering. Reelection isn’t a huge for them

They tried that here in Virginia, but when that didn’t work, they just didn’t let any of it that wasn’t already in effect to go into effect. So we’re still sitting here “buying stickers” and getting these amazing ” surprise” “gifts” of weed instead of the Mickey how it feels to be in the public domain fire shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this state making bank on the tax revenue I can’t help but depressedly chuckle to myself at the idea of Republicans attempting to argue the “why” behind the inevitable “no Marijuana consumption on Sunday until after 11” adjustment. Years ago in Maine we legalized it as well via popular vote and the then Republican governor did everything in his power to delay it from happening. Took a few years before retail stores opened. It was not a constitutional amendment so it can be altered and messed with like any other law. The sticking point is that these very clearly show the will of the people so attempting to take it away by force could cause representatives to loose their seats to someone else in their party with a slightly more moderate stance on the issue. It also important to remember that this same thing is yelled about by the opposing side in every one of these weed legalization laws but not much has actually happened to stop it (in most states that is, I’m looking at you South Dakota). It’s a weird thing to be opposed to being far from the first state that has done this as all the original arguments against it have mostly been disproven
