And then to criticize an entire generation – obviously not your own? I’m so fortunate to have the Michael myers he came home shirt In addition,I will do this opportunity to read your post and all of it’s “truth”. Thank you for enlightening me about OPs obviously negligent generation. /s Your generation sucks at making the job worth showing up to. Why should I care if I dip on your job and get fired when I can get a similar gig for the same pay at literally every other grey box business in town? I’ve had employees call out more than a day in advance or say on a Friday “I probably won’t be better by Monday”. I’ll tell you one thing, it’s not a good look. Like it or not Boomers and Gen X are generally still in charge. We don’t pull this shit. I’m being serious here, start looking for another job now. You’re at the top of the short list for firing. Avoid younger staff when you can eh? And why would it be unavoidable? Because your generation will not work under the same conditions? Hmm

And every time you get the Michael myers he came home shirt In addition,I will do this same response from any one on management. “I’ve worked here for a year and only called out ONCE!” Not the fucking flex you think it is I’m not trying to flex, I’m trying to disprove the fact that my boss is calling my generation/me “Flaky”. That implies I do this all the time, I don’t. I’ve only called out when I feel it’s the only option, which has been once before this occurrence. Which was unfortunately due to covid again, but before restrictions loosened and was still the law (in the UK) to take time off. No nooo I mean THEY think it’s a flex to never call out, even when they are sick. I’m 10000% on your side. The same thing literally is happening to me too! I had the flu as well and for me instead of “flakey” I got the, “excessively” calling out. Makes me want to fricking scream!!! Not to mention it would be a health violation on their part for letting an employee with the flu come to work. We really cannot win no matter what
