Robinson’s journey to the NBA was not without its challenges. He was not recruited by any major college basketball programs out of high school and had to walk on at Fresno State. However, Robinson quickly proved himself to be a valuable contributor to the Bulldogs, averaging 11.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game as a junior.

Robinson’s impressive performance at Fresno State caught the attention of NBA scouts, and he was invited to the NBA Draft Combine. Robinson performed well at the combine, and his stock rose heading into the draft. He was eventually selected by the Miami Heat with the 37th overall pick.
