I mean, everything else aside, people need to understand, as a man, being trapped in a relationship with a woman who abuses you is just that: being trapped. What can you do? If you report it, you’re not taken seriously. You can’t physically defend yourself because if you hit her back or even try to restrain her in any way, she now has physical evidence that you put your hands on her and she WILL use it against you, and then you’re pretty much fucked. Not to mention the Merry Christmas Pickleball Wear Santa Hat Lights Sports Lover T-Shirt besides I will buy this fact that men are pretty much conditioned from birth not to hit girls (which yeah, obviously we shouldn’t in basically every other scenario). It doesn’t matter that you’re way bigger and stronger than her, that physicality will just be used against you anyway. You can’t just leave, because then she gets half your stuff (or more), and likely custody of your kids. So what do you do?

But she knows that he won’t ever retaliate due to the Merry Christmas Pickleball Wear Santa Hat Lights Sports Lover T-Shirt besides I will buy this size difference and the general shame/taboo that comes with hitting a woman even in defense. You also see this behavior in tiny young men. They’ll be very aggressive towards much larger men, knowing that even though you’re being irritating if the larger man hits you he’ll be judged much harsher than you. I’m 6’4″ and at the time this all happened I was 230 pounds of all chest and shoulder, 21 and my 18 year old girlfriend was 5’2″ and 88 pounds. I had black eyes and split lips more than once because of her. When she started I just clasped my hands behind my back so nobody could say shit. She couldn’t hit hard enough that I couldn’t endure it. People who knew her knew how she was. But did nothing. They didn’t blame me. Until the day she said I hit her and they came to arrest me. No proof of anything. Just her word, my word. Then the people who knew her abandoned me for months until I was out and asked them why and that’s when they said they believed me. Didn’t believe me for the months I was gone. So I left the state and lost all their phone numbers. Don’t need friends like that.
