Yes. For sure the Mental Health Awareness Tree Green Ribbon T-Shirt besides I will buy this Old Boomer career politicians. The real Fix would be Term Limits. Someone’s Age should Not be a determining factor. There still may be a Wise old man out there worthy to learn from or listen to. I think all politicians should be subject to a recall at any time that they are unable to, or refuse to, do what they promised in thier campaigning. It takes a long time to figure out how things work and to make the necessary alliances, then to be able to change your mind, given new data. New blood is a good thing, but throwing out wisdom is a bad thing. Drug and alcohol tested before, during and after every parliamentary sitting, and tenured to how long they can remain in office. Sure. I’m down with that. At the same time, why don’t we make it so politicians only get a certain percentage of a pension depending on how long they serve? 4 years? 25%. 8 years% 50%. And so on. Just throwing numbers around. They should be required to turn a computer on and attach a PDF to an email and send it by themselves and then be given 10 sample emails and they have to figure out which 5 are spam/viruses. If they can’t do all that they have to retire. I’d rather have term limits for ALL elected office holders. 2 terms for POTUS, 2 terms for the Senate, 4 terms for the House (since those are 2 year terms). That would limit them to 28 years at the Federal level. If we made it illegal for politicians either personally or by proxy to trade stocks. They probably wouldnt stick around for 40 50 or 60 years.

No. That is unconstitutional. Because, for, president, that’s not in the Mental Health Awareness Tree Green Ribbon T-Shirt besides I will buy this constitution. The same way cognitive testing isnt in there. Whatever the public service retirement age is, that’s the age it should be set at for politicians too. I strongly dislike the elderly-hate that the current ahem situation ahem seems to be spawning but I think out of respect for the institution and the demands of public servitude, it’s only responsible to step aside and into a more appropriate role once you hit retirement age. Yes, that’s a good retiring age. They shouldn’t be paid while serving and not be allowed to take donations from anyone while campaigning, at the minimum, get minimum wage. If they can’t live off that, then they know without a doubt the average American can’t either. No. People with stupid ideas pop up at all ages. People who may appear mentally unsound can all appear at different ages. Ultimately it’s up to voters, depending on the country, to shift politicians as needs and mood determine.
