To this day, when I see him in the streets, he always gets visibly shook. Thean got a great heart, and from what he told me, this was the first and the last time he ever did such a misdiagnoses. I don’t have a doctor, but see randoms through online appointment. This one time, I just needed to refill prescriptions (BTW, I still think it’s ridiculous to have to see a doctor every year to refill a prescription I have been taking since 2006 – not like the system isn’t taxed enough). This doctor was like, “I’ll give you 6 months of a prescription instead of 12 because you need to see a family doctor to discuss [condition for which I take the prescription]”. That wouldn’t have been dumb… if there was a hope in hell I was going to get a family doctor in that range of time. I was like, “I have been living here less than a year. It’s guaranteed I am not going to have a family doctor in 12 months, let alone 6.” (This was three years ago and I still don’t have one.) In one ear and out the other. So because of her fantastic advice, I got to do the online song and dance again 6 months later, not 12. She also prescribed a shittier medication for my allergies because she wasn’t familiar with the one that was working for me. Absolutely useless doctor.
