I would prefer a manufactured purpose over no purpose but I’d want to be aware that it is manufactured. I don’t want to be dropped into a simulation of my life before death without my knowledge for example. I’m not a big partier, but I like the thought of that perfect height of a gathering of loved ones, when you feel loved and everything feels timeless and perfect, actually being timeless and perfect, and you only take breaks long enough to refresh and rejoin. Which is pretty much not possible unless your loved ones are hyper devout. Do they just manufacture your loved ones that didn’t make it? Do your loved ones get to go because you’re in heaven? What if you didn’t love anyone or anything for some reason? What then?

Ofc it’s possible whether your loved ones are devout or not. It’s not only “devout” people who enter a restful and merciful afterlife after a lifetime in a hard world of pain and struggle. Geez. Also, kind of a topic shift, from “hm the Mayor of yapville shirt moreover I love this idea of a pointless afterlife is scary” to “well what about all these specific questions about your specific belief system that I imply is bad?” The biblical version of heaven has some pretty strict entry requirements the overwhelming majority of people will fail. Occasionally they’re described in confusing metaphor. There are many interpretations of who will be present. Some interpretations are that it is strict. Again, another is that most if not all people enter a restful and merciful afterlife, after a lifetime of hard, struggle and pain! See above! Just like there are several possible interpretations of what the afterlife is in the Bible. And I mentioned one.
