The top comments are just people putting Trump down, which doesn’t answer OP’s question. Can’t admit the May Your Holidays Merry And Bright Shirt and by the same token and truth and just give an answer, it seems? His base love how he boasts, and promises to take revenge on his enemies if reelected. He’ll hurt the right people. That’s really what they want. Why the polls show Trump beating Biden in the general I can’t fathom, given that one tried to overthrow the election and the other’s been scoring wins for the people for going on three years now. Biden is slow rolling us into WW3 and the economy is crap. Trump was the only prez in the last 100 years that didn’t start a new war. Most Trump voters just want world peace and $2 a gallon gas. If you listen to the media bullshit he should lose by a mile. Hes wrong on everything, hes an idiot, blah blah blah; they ignore what people want & push their own narrative. But thats not whats people are voting for. They are voting because they see their lives falling apart, and Trump is offering them (False) hope, while the alternative is offering no hope. So their tactic is to annoy me enough until I paid them for a feature that should’ve been free? Thanks YouTube, I mean Spotify. I get what you’re saying, but it’s a very entitled outlook. They don’t owe you anything. At the end of the day it’s a business, and a very profitable one at that. Economically speaking, it makes no sense for them to just not take money from advertisers, no matter how annoying we find ads. You have the option to watch/listen for free still, but if you want them to forgo that ad revenue, they give you the chance to offset that loss by paying for a subscription. Don’t like either option? Create your own video/music streaming platform (or just pirate everything).

For $11/month I get all kinds of music down to the May Your Holidays Merry And Bright Shirt and by the same token and ultra obscure I like with a few thousand plays. Spotify may not be perfect, but I’d argue it is 1000X better than the old days of free radio with the same rotation of tracks and incessant ads and annoying DJs. I could never imagine my local station going, “this is 102.7 and you’re listening to rock, rock, and nothing but rock, here’s that Moldovan Metalcore band you like” Spotify is what I wish video streaming was, 99% if stuff I want is there. Compared to a Netflix or Max it is an absolute bargain. Or even worse. Limewire. Back then you downloaded a song and it was nasty ass illegal porn and shit. 2000s were different and not always in a good way.
