The noise becomes part of your sleep, and without it it, it’s very hard to get to sleep. And your response wasn’t „Lets fix this somehow.“ or „Lets find a compromise.“ but instead „If it bothers you, don‘t sleep in my bedroom, because this is not changing.“ Yes, calling you overweight is over the line, but I do understand why telling her that you would never sleep in the same bedroom again would piss her off. My husband sleeps with the fan on for about 6 months of the year, he runs hot blooded too. He barely covers himself with a sheet. I don’t like the feel of the fan on me, except on very warm nights. I put the sheet over me, and a blanket usually, so that I don’t feel the fan at all. Even a light blanket on her side would help, but geez she could try to think about this just a little. It’s not a complex situation. Trying to make you melt every night so she can feel comfortable in bed is silly, especially since I guess she sleeps with blankets in colder months of the year? I lost 110lb (310lb to 200lb) and I still sleep hot and use a fan. On top of that, once your used to sleeping with the noise, it becomes so hard to get to sleep without it.
