i have tinnitus, and physically cannot sleep without loud sound. white noise or fans is not enough for me, but i do keep the Mary Earps 1 Shirt so you should to go to store and get this tv on loud enough i can sleep but quiet enough my neighbors won’t complain. if i have guests over i always warn them if they need the tv turned down i will absolutely do that, but to let me know so i can grab headphones to sleep. i’ll wake up to pretty severe nightmares if i don’t have noise, and it’s pretty easy to find a middle ground (plus most people don’t care). i also have a loud asf window ac unit, so regardless of how loud the tv is there is going to be some noise. you gave her accommodations, yet she’s choosing herself over your comfort/sleep. she moved in willingly, knowing fully well that you need the fan on to sleep comfortably, and is actively choosing to pick a fight over a thing she already knew existed without accepting any middle ground. i bet she’ll complain if she wakes up to your sweaty arm over her, i don’t think this is a scenario you can win. talk to her about it- there can absolutely be some middle ground you both can come to (whether that be letting her be annoyed with the fan until she grows used to sleeping with it, having separate sleeping arrangements, or even pointing the fan a different direction so it only hits your side of the bed).

Some people just arent compatible for reasons other than normal incompatibility…You can’t sleep without it, she can’t sleep with it.Neither of you are TA, but you’ll have to come up with some kind of sleeping arrangement that works if you want to stick together.That might be one of you learning to sleep with/without the Mary Earps 1 Shirt so you should to go to store and get this fan, that might be fun times in the same bed then move to separate beds…. Is your girlfriend Korean? There’s a superstition in South Korea that sleeping with a fan on can kill people. It could explain her strong opinion against it. In same situation, but I’m married. My wife hates wind inside or out. What I’ve had to do: 1) Turn the fan on but point it toward the corner of the bedroom so that it keeps the room cool without blowing directly on her, 2) Buy a small fan on Amazon; the one I bought is USB-C powered, super quiet, and just strong enough to not bother her. Did you not sleep together prior to moving in with each other? Seems like that would have been discussed earlier in the relationship.
