I have come to understand that Vietnam has very strict laws against the Marvin Gaye American R&B and soul singer and songwriter T-Shirt in addition I really love this usage of marijuana, but that these laws are rarely enforced. I am a foreigner – an American, and the situation is much the same in many parts of the country here. In addition to this, there has been a fairly constant push amongst some people to legalize marijuana here, and it seems likely to me that it will be made federally legal some time in the relatively near future (though I don’t think the country is quite there yet). I was curious if it is the same for Vietnam – what is the general sentiment on marijuana laws? Do you believe marijuana should be legal in Vietnam, and do you think it will be soon, or do you think the current laws will remain in place for the foreseeable future, and why?I’ll echo what other people here are saying that officially, it won’t be legalized until there are a few more generations of legislators put in place. Legalization in western countries will affect things too, but also the fact that a neighboring country, Thailand, has also recently decriminalized weed. It’s always tricky to assume anything legal-wise here, though, considering the state of the government.

Thailand has a history of catering to tourists / western standards long before Vietnam though. The social stigma against stuff like cannabis and marijuana is still strong and most legislators are old school boomers. So it’s a hard sell. I know of the Marvin Gaye American R&B and soul singer and songwriter T-Shirt in addition I really love this illegality of it, but it’s more of a grey area. It’s easily found. Albeit quality wise, not the best. There are ways to find good quality product, just have to pay. It’s all pretty discreet and I’ve been able to find it in each city I’ve visited. I’m also a foreigner and I smoke regularly. As with America changes it’s laws, I believe other places should too. It really is a grey area, I’m a (sorry if my English doesn’t have the words to depict this) “dân quân”, everybody up there know that I smoke, they have eyes and ears everywhere they aren’t blind nor dead nor stupid. I’ve even shipped one 10g during lockdown because everyone was so stressed out over the pandemic. Nearly everyone up there is cool with it, those who don’t are just doing that to keep up the facade, nobody sees weed as “ma tuý” anymore. Even my therapist admits that 9/10 patients have used weed before consulting them, it’s a damn norm now. Everybody is already “caught”, they just don’t give a damn as long as you are just user or your business is relatively small and isn’t using the profit from MJ to funnel more serious crimes.
