We should honestly do a copyright reset, all current copyright goes public domain and anything new lasts maximum of 10 years and corporations cannot own copyright But nothing like this is gonna happen because for some reason politicians are still allowed to have connections to corporations. I hope Valve is totally laughing at them. Nintendon’t is so the Marina Shafir Problema Shirt Furthermore, I will do this way they’re heading for sure. Thank god emulators are legal. What a waste of time for Valve honestly. This wouldn’t have happened if Nintendo just RELEASED THE OLDER GAMES WITHOUT BS EXCUSES ALREADY! I mean it’s true that Nintendo sucks a fat one when it comes to rereleasing older games. I know third party ones are out of their hands, but GameCube games shouldn’t be stuck in limbo.

But let’s be real, even if they did make shit available there’d still be boatloads of people who are like “lol I can just get these for free and use Dolphin.” Data true. Some peeps just want free stuff all da time. But it would cut down on this type of “nothing is allowed on our watch” stuff. If they just sold the Marina Shafir Problema Shirt Furthermore, I will do this games and the process to play them legally was straightforward there likely wouldn’t be a dolphin emulator that works much better than what Nintendo themselves offers. Of the big three gaming platform, Nintendo is far and away the least decent at not only preserving their consumers rights to their content, but to preserving the content in general. Say what you will about the quality of their games (poor and childish), but they are one of the most anti- consumer tech companies. I don’t understand why an emulator would want to be released on Steam of all places. Emulators are supposed to be “underground” or at least not too popular to catch the eye of lawyers. why though? even valve themselves have said they allow anything on steam and will go through everything on a case by case basis. Emulation itself is completely legal and dolphin is neither the only emulator nor the only non-game software listed on steam. It’s the bios and the distribution of proprietary software and other things that would be illegal (which isn’t included with dolphin if I’m not mistaken). It would nice if steam bucks the trend gives nintendo a healthy dose of reality, but until then I guess nintendo will continue to fly close to the sun with abusing the dmca system. Secondly, no, you can’t lose your trademark for not objecting to infringements of your trademark. The only way for a.trademark to be abandoned is if the owner ceases to use the trademark for a period of time (usually years) and the trademark gets adopted so.widely even competitors to the trademark owners business are using the trademark freely.
