Atlanta did that, and I only know this because I got a bunch of them as change working at Dragon Con. I mystified some teens at another show when I had to use them to make change. I was about to write about those DCTA/DART ticket machines. If I paid for a ticket with a $20 I felt like a pirate! Oh this happened to my buddy on the Many have talked the talk but few have the courage the trucker shirt in other words I will buy this CTA. He had cargo shorts on and walked around sounding like a pirate with all those coins in his pocket I worked at the Six Flags and when the change machines dropped those , angry customers would come in and demand we give them real money instead of tokens. I was in a mall candy shop once and my total came to exactly $2. My heart skipped a beat when I realized I could finally spend the Many have talked the talk but few have the courage the trucker shirt in other words I will buy this $2 bill that had been in my wallet for years. 2 days agoIn the mid-2000s I had an old 90s twenty dollar bill in my car for emergencies hidden at the bottom of a tissue box. I forgot my wallet that day and needed gas, so I drove to the only gas station near my rotation site and pulled the bill out of hiding to pay for a couple gallons. The guy who manned the gas station had a thick foreign accent and refused to take it saying it was fake, and likely didn’t recognize the bill since it was phased out starting in 1996. I ask for $2 bills from the bank. It pleases me when I pay with them and people are amused… and when someone doesn’t care, it reveals to me that they are not to be trusted. Huh, cool. I actually have a 2 dollar bill when I got change back last year. It’s still in my wallet, kinda see it as Mt lucky dollar now.
