It’s a highly evolved language. APPARENTLY dutch ppl dont take off shoes inside on the ground floor. what the hell, man. it still throws me for a loop, and it feels so WRONG to keep my shoes on inside, especially if there’s a rug or, god forbid, carpeted flooring. i always feel like im highly disrespectful for taking all the gross the outside dirt back inside the house with my disgusting outside shoes, but everyone insists its no biggie. dont they have to vaccuum and mop every day? seems like a pain in the ass, i’ll keep my old shoe habit, thanks.

That American ppl consider 6 pm dinner time lmao even around the Mama Xmas Mama Life Mama Flower, Mama Christmas T-Shirt Also,I will get this holidays dinners in my house hold aren’t done and served till at the earliest 9pm In my experience that’s because a lot of us have to be up ridiculously early to go to work due to traffic and long commutes. Yep as a Canadian my house has no set dinner time, we generally have dinner sometime between 6-8, but it’s not uncommon for us to have dinner before or after that depending on what and when we feel like cooking. This varies a lot in the US. For me, 6:00 PM is seen as “old people dinner time.” Growing up, my family usually had dinner around 8:00 PM. My husband and I usually eat at 9:00 PM or later. Yeah, I like to eat around 6-6:30pm at the latest. Unfortunately I’m living with family atm and they don’t do dinner until somewhere between 8 and 9:30 usually. Had to adjust when I eat breakfast/lunch later to keep from being hungry all evening. Edit to add: Usually on the big eating holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) ‘dinner’ is at like 2-3pm in my family, then once the food-coma wears off later that evening you come back for seconds (or thirds.) There are many countries in the world where the toilet is not like a chair, but like a hole in the floor, where you squat over it instead of sitting on it. And we’re not talking an outhouse situation, they are proper toilets with plumbing, flushing, the works, but they are flush (no pun intended) with the floor. Supposedly better for bowel movements than sitting is It results in a cleaner bowel since we have literally evolved to shit that way. Our ancestors have shat that way for thousands of years. sitting and doing the deed is a very recent concept in the grand scheme of things.
