I mean…there are games where questions are asked specifically about imporoving and it’s at least to some degree expected that inexpierienced players ask questions (fighitng games for example). Why is asking the Making Memories One Campsite At A Time T-Shirt besides I will buy this person who used the acronym “What does ABCDE stand for?” considered difficult or “complicated”? Why must people always speak in a language you understand, as opposed to you learning their language? Spanish, Chinese, Theoretical Physics, or Gaming Acronyms…. it doesn’t matter. It is still another language. Because fighting games specifically are incredibly daunting even if you understand the language. So having a way to ease in newer players by not making it so complicated can’t be a bad thing.

EDIT: At least try to explain the Making Memories One Campsite At A Time T-Shirt besides I will buy this language. Not everyone can learn the same way. I for example learn much better with a teacher/getting some help from someone else than trying to learn myself. It would be nice to be able to hope that. I am 100% behind the ability to ask “What does ABCDE stand for?”. I’ve said that multiple times now in responses here…. because it seems like most of the people commenting to me won’t even acknowledge that they *could* indeed just ask the person who used the acronym to explain it. It would be nice indeed to have a community that was more inclusive. I think that when one reads through many of the posts here, and the comments that go along with them…. they would come to the conclusion that the community isn’t necessarily all that inclusive right now, and due to the nature of Reddit in general, it isn’t likely to ever become more inclusive. The fact that I present an argument where BOTH sides here have to take each other into account is balked at, and demonstrates that the people wanting more inclusion, aren’t any more open-minded than the people they think should explain their acronyms. Should commenters and posters be more willing to explain acronyms they use? Yes. Should readers be more willing to look up those words and acronyms they don’t understand? Yes.
