That’s interesting, because the Madness 49th Anniversary 1976-2025 Thank You For The Memories Unique Shirt and I love this gospels themselves were written in Greek and they refer to Jesus as a “tekton”, which means laborer or mason. Looking at this logically it was still a solid instruction manual on how to be an upstanding human being and a fascinating look into what our ancestors were working through on a societal level. I don’t even mean that in like a snippy way or anything, like there’s good stuff in it, but very little of it is “an instruction manual” and very few of those instructions are very good. For the time it was actually pretty solid. Certainly compared to everything else around it. Nowadays people with bleeding hearts can poke holes in it but in context it’s pretty good. (I’ve read it multiple times for fun, Old Testament Is a slog for the first couple books then it picks up, New Testament is where the moral stuff really picks up)

question: is it “bleeding heart” to not like slavery? if it’s admonishments were fine “for the Madness 49th Anniversary 1976-2025 Thank You For The Memories Unique Shirt and I love this time” is it really a good instruction manual now. (I’ve read it multiple times for fun, Old Testament Is a slog for the first couple books then it picks up, New Testament is where the moral stuff really picks up) Like yes, more than anything I just think it should be made clear that the “instruction manual for life” stuff is mostly in the new testament, the old testament has some of that and some narrative but it’s a lot of just detail. Idk, my comment might have been presumptuous but I get annoyed when people are just like “it’s a moral guide for your life” and I’m like “really? all of it? the book of numbers isn’t called ‘the book of advice’ it’s called the book of numbers because it’s full of fucking numbers.”
