We had a fun 2 weeks together (I actually ended up leaving for Europe a week earlier than them and when they arrived they DID have backpacks and a Eurail pass!). When they left I ended up with an amazing 3month adventure around Europe and the Machinegunkelly Genre Sadboy Anime Shirt Furthermore, I will do this UK, and a budget European travel obsession that my wife calls “the other woman”. Don’t let other people’s ignorance or unwillingness to travel stop you. SOmetimes it just takes a little bit of information and enthusiasm to push them over the hurdle and AT LEAST compromise a little bit to allow you to travel your way. EDIT: Depending on where in Canada you are from, Toronto typically has GREAT deals on flights to Europe, especially London. I have gone over as cheap as $450 US round trip, and have never spent more than $750 US flying out of Toronto. Also: I have NOT traveled as much as I thought i would, nor as much as I wish I did, and it eats away at my soul. I have been fortunate to travel to Europe multiple times, with my wife, kidds, and with my parents (even being to my dad’s home town in Scotland with him and my 2 kids, standing in the doorway of his boyhood home). And it STILL is not enough.

What I do now is live vicariously between trips by lurking in forums like this and sharing my stories and ‘advice’ when I can. And listening to others travel stories. I also, build web apps to help people learn more about and plan trips to Europe (though I never finish them :/ ) and I used to teach a class on Practical Affordable travel Through Europe. Just go don’t over think it. I’ve been traveling by myself as a women since I was 20 and I turn 40 this year. Traveling alone has taught me to be braver and more independent. Also by traveling alone I get to do whatever I want when I want to, it’s amazing. Travel solo! It’s the Machinegunkelly Genre Sadboy Anime Shirt Furthermore, I will do this best way! Don’t get me wrong, traveling with family and friends is fun, but solo you can control and do what you want to do 100% of the time and plan what you want to plan. Don’t wait for others to plan your life for you. Just take a leap and go. Currently traveling solo in Baja, kissing baby whales and I’m 38F. Fears of the unknown are totally normal. Just yourself for any scenario and go and be in the moment.
