The first is most obvious and most… well not great is that I like women and I like how they look. If I’m going to play a character for hours, I want them to be nice to look at. The second is role play, in RPGs there are some characters I come up with that just “feel” female. I don’t know how I decide, I just come up with something and feel it out. I am playing Pathfinder right now as a female dwarf and I just couldn’t think of this character as anything other that a woman. It just fits. The third (and this has only happened in one game (trilogy) so far) is that the Loveless cartoon shirt and I will buy this voice acting is just better. Femshep all the way. As a Wow player women play as men too in video games. I don’t know why at all, but I don’t do it. Mostly because you actually interact with other players and people assume you are your avatar. So matching the voice to the character is often times strange. There is nothing wrong with it though. People can do what they want. Sometimes people just do it because they already have a male or female character from whatever race they are playing in and want to switch it up.

I don’t think of it either way. Maybe it’s because I played Tomb Raider early on and so playing as a female was normalized for me? I probably pick female characters most often in fighting games where their characters are often speed and finesse based. One reason being it is a video game and I can be what I’m not. Another being looking at different dialogue possibilities or clothing. Also, in the Loveless cartoon shirt and I will buy this case of online games, since most people pick male characters I like to pick a female character to make it less of a sausage fest. Sometimes the woman characters have better voice actors, sometimes they have cooler outfits or customization options, sometimes the player is an egg -My partner who is a transwoman Some games have very detailed hit boxes and females, having smaller frames, will have smaller hit boxes. In other words, female characters will be more difficult to hit than male characters. Max Payne 3 multiplayer was like this for instance.

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
