Has anyone tried Misses Kisses strapless bra system, and if so were you happy with it? Was chatting with my tailor the Love our people like you love our food asian lives retro T-Shirt Also,I will get this other day about 90s style and mentioned wanting to wear a slip dress without bra straps showing and she recommended this rather than the usual stick on or boob tape. Is this a better option in your opinion? I have this and have a fairly large chest. It fits on great but have yet to actually wear them out to see how it holds up for a long period. My partner’s mom is getting married at a “casual” wedding outdoors at a beach. She has informed us she’d like us to wear the wedding colors, turquoise and white/tan. She wasn’t really clear if we are in any sort of wedding party. She said my partner’s proposed outfit of a nice camp shirt (a la Tommy Bahama) and khaki shorts is acceptable. I’m nonbinary with more “masculine” style, but I was assigned female at birth and some of the family does learn more conservative, so that’s why I’m coming here for advice. I’m looking for something to wear that will make me feel somewhat comfortable (I am willing to leave my comfort zone a little bit) but really ultimately looking for something that will make my partner’s mom happy. Right now I’m leaning towards maybe something like a romper, but not sure where to start looking? I’d also prefer something with more coverage, I don’t mind showing my body but I am heavily tattooed and would ideally like to cover my legs at least to the knee as well as my shoulders. She also said a camp shirt/aloha shirt would be acceptable for me but I’m looking to explore my options and maybe do something a little more “femme”. (And I don’t really own any non-cutoff shorts to go with it!) A dress is not out of the question but probably the thing I’m least interested in, I might be interested if it was a more simple cut with clean lines (no ruffles, etc).

The whole thing is giving me a lot of anxiety because I’d be so embarrassed to show up underdressed OR overdressed but we aren’t really getting a lot of information. Oh, also adding that I really love kitschy vintage style stuff when I’m getting dressy and want to wear “womens clothes” (Pin Up Girl Clothing, Trashy Diva, Kitschy Witch etc.) but everything on my usual rotation looks too dressy in my opinion. If shorts are acceptable, I don’t think you need to worry about being underdressed! My recommendation is tan linen pants (any silhouette) and a turquoise top, could do a T-shirt, peasant blouse, or button up (but that may be a little matchy). Hmm since you want more coverage, I’d look for a linen version, or maybe a jumpsuit, so you’ll still feel cool and comfortable. The linen look would lend the coastal vibe your partner’s mom is going for. Something like this.
